Brian C. Stivers
Brian C. Stivers is the president and CEO of Stivers Financial Services and has been in the financial industry since 1992. He has developed his practice working primarily with retirees, pre-retirees, and business owners to work towards achieving their goals, needs, and dreams in retirement.
Brian has built his financial advisory practice based on four foundational cornerstones:
- Provide financial planning concepts for his clients that have the potential to protect their principal against catastrophic and volatile market losses.
- Provide stable growth potential through utilizing risk managed approaches that have the ability to adapt to volatile economic and market conditions, changing political climates, and changing interest rate environments.
- Provide strategies that have the potential to produce stable income for life for his clients in retirement, regardless of market performance, interest rates, or longevity.
- Provide clients with legacy and estate planning concepts that assist in providing them the confidence that their remaining assets will be cared for as they had arranged.
After working as an employee of a well-known financial services firm for five years, Brian decided he could better serve the needs of his clients and adhere to his foundational cornerstones by establishing himself as an independent advisor. This transition took place in 1997 and has afforded him the ability to assist clients in all areas of retirement planning based on their individual and unique needs.
Due to the diverse range of clients he serves, Brian feels it necessary to have access to a wide range of investment options and strategies from various investment and insurance companies. He follows the fiduciary standard, which means that he will act only in the best interest of his clients and ensures that all retirement advice given is suitable to the client’s objectives, needs, and circumstances.
Taking an educational approach when working with both existing and prospective clients is a high priority for Brian. By providing information to his clients in an understandable way, Brian believes that his clients will be better equipped to make sound decisions when it comes to retirement planning. Not only does he educate his clients, but Brian often mentors young advisors who are beginning their careers in the financial service industry on the complexities of the business.
Brian is a graduate of Liberty University and enjoys teaching Bible studies and traveling the world. He has been married to his wife, Christa, since 1983 and they have four grown married children and several grandchildren (more added annually!).
Early in his career, Brian heard the quote, “It’s not that people plan to fail, it’s that they fail to plan.” This is something that has continued to drive Brian in his passion of assisting his clients in preparing for retirement. He would love to spend time educating and supporting you in creating a plan for your future.
